Terrorism Financing - Students for Justice in Palestine

A lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Division of Virginia by the law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, along with the National Jewish Advocacy Center, the Schoen Law Firm, and Holtzman Vogel, representing victims of the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attack in Israel. The lawsuit targets the AJP Educational Foundation Inc., also known as American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), and National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), accusing them of acting as collaborators and propagandists for Hamas, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization in the United States.

The plaintiffs, including American and Israeli victims, seek compensatory damages, arguing that AMP and NSJP supported Hamas’s terror campaign by promoting propaganda and aiding in the mobilization of violence both abroad and in the U.S. The lawsuit contends that these organizations have consistently provided significant assistance to Hamas, directly contributing to ongoing acts of international terrorism.

Leaders from Greenberg Traurig expressed pride in representing the victims, emphasizing the importance of holding the defendants accountable for their actions and challenging their claims of protection under free speech. The legal team intends to present evidence to demonstrate the organizations’ active support of terrorism and to seek justice for the victims.
